Circle of Life Mixed Media Artists Exhibit

Mount Laurel Library will be hosting an art exhibit by The Circle of Life Mixed Media Artists group made up of Ellen Barnett, Alice Domineske, Sherry D McGrath, Angela Nocera and Irvane Spracklin.  from Saturday, March 2 – Friday, March 29.  A “Meet the Artists” reception will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3 p.m.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Each of the local artists will be exhibiting pieces of art inspired by women artists throughout history.  The artists use fabric and other materials to inspire their creativity.  They have come together to share their art during March's Women's History Month.   Artwork is for sale. Please see notation cards next to each piece for artist contact information.                         

Artists' Circle

The Mount Laurel Library will be hosting an Artists’ Circle on Mondays, February 28, March 25 and April 29 at 7 p.m.   Do you have a passion for art? Do you want to become an artist but have no idea where to start?  Join the Artist's Circle in the Mount Laurel Library!  This is a friendly community where you can meet local artists, share your work, and see free demonstrations from professionals. No prior artistic experience is required. All ages welcome. No registration needed.

John Byrne Band at Mount Laurel Library

Come enjoy a FREE Irish concert with John Byrne and his band on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Mount Laurel Library.   This concert is open to the public.  Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day a bit early with this musical treat!  No registration needed.

The John Byrne Band is led by Dublin native John Byrne.  Attendees will hear lively jigs and reels and a few favorite pub songs to celebrate the season. John has recorded several traditional music albums and is working on a third.

This concert is part of the Second Sunday Concert series offered at the Mount Laurel Library thanks to a generous gift from Wegmans.  Concerts are held monthly.  All are welcome to attend.

 

Chess Night - all ages

Chess players wanted for fun and competition at the Mount Laurel Library on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  All ages and levels are welcome. Drop in for a game!  No registration needed.
