Flowers and Beyond: painting and photography exhibit


Mount Laurel Library will be hosting a photography and painting exhibit by Mount Laurel resident Joey G. from Tuesday, September 4, 2012 – Monday, October 29, 2012.  A “Meet the Artist” reception will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 3 p.m.  Light refreshments will be provided.

Joey G. studied film, worked as a photographer and created in polymer but was inspired to try her hand at painting after photographing flowers she found beautiful and unique. Her goal is to create works like herself bold, colorful, a bit odd but amusing.

Robert Lipartito Art Exhibit


Mount Laurel, June 19, 2012: 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 

Mount Laurel Library will be hosting a display of Robert Lipartito's art from Sunday, July 1, through Friday, August 31, 2012. The display is free and open to the public.

Robert Lipartito has studied art in Philadelphia at the Fleisher Art Memorial and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (Continuing Education Division). Mr. Lipartito works in a variety of 2D media including oils, watercolor, pastel, mixed media, etching, and lithography. 

His work has been shown at the Reading (PA) Public Museum, The GoggleWorks Center for the Arts (Reading), the Philadelphia Sketch Club, the Da Vinci Art Alliance (Philadelphia), the Perkins Center for the Arts (Moorestown), the Center for the Arts in Southern New Jersey (Marlton), Hopkins House Gallery (Haddon Township), and the offices of the Philadelphia Foundation. He has given solo exhibitions of his lithographs at the Fleisher Art Memorial and at the Collingswood, NJ 2nd Saturday Arts Night.

Indira Servaia: art exhibit


Mount Laurel, April 20, 2012:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Mount Laurel Library will be hosting a painting exhibit by artist Indira Servaia from Tuesday, May 1, 2012 – Saturday, June 30, 2012. A “Meet the Artist” reception will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.

To explain the striking style of Indira Servaia's colors and strokes, one could look to the global span of the multiple cultures from which she draws. A native of India, Servaia arrived in the United States in 2005. Primarily a self-taught, inner-directed artist, she also has studied art in India and in the United States with artists of diverse styles and techniques. Much of her style is inspired by the French Fauvist paintings.

The captivating colors in her paintings demonstrate the artist’s keen powers of observation. She portrays each facet of nature in pure and vibrant forms.
